The piano is an incredible instrument, made more so when you experiment with electric keyboards I play on a Korg SV-1 that I named Margaret after my piano playing grandma, and we make beautiful sounds together every day. We can dig in to Hanon exercises and Bach fugues if that's your thing, or learn video game music, or stick to simple chord changes underneath a pop song. Physical movement is a huge part of playing piano, and I've created many finger exercises over the years to help students play smoothly, easily, and quickly.
In lessons, I develop a unique plan for each student-some people want to learn to play by ear, some want to read music, some want to improvise, some want all of it, and I'm here to teach you whatever you want to know.
